Worldship Music is proud to present their newest release, “Afro-LaTeena” by the Trilaterals. The Trilaterals are a trio of LA based producer/djs who’ve recently released a number of R&B/Soul reworks. This is the 2nd 7’’ vinyl release on the Worldship Music imprint.

The track is produced by LA radio legend Kristi Lomax, whose blessed the LA landscape with her selections for over 20 years. In the last few years Kristi has turned her talents to production and has reworked a classic from Teena Marie into an Afro-tinged affair, complete with classic house chords and chugging tempo.

The B side contains the Teflon Royale Remix, a collaboration by the Teflon Don’s Aaron Paar and Greg Royal. This mix takes elements from the original, flips the chords, and re-arranges into an extended dance number. Both cuts should fit well in many DJ sets that bridge the Pan-African sound with deep house and global soul music.
